25/04/25 - let's go back to a website!

meowdy folks!! it has been awhile hasn't it? but the wait is for a reason! i wanted to update the site more but i wanted to revamp it first, since i was happy with version 4, but felt i could make something better. and so i started slowing chipping away at an update to the site since feburary and.....oh gosh it's april now?!?! oh well, i suppose they say good things come to those who wait, but still i'm sorry this has been such a long time coming. oh yeah this reminds me, i mentioned a couple of blog posts ago that i would start doing monthly blog posts here, but i think i've realized now that i enjoy writing more if i don't put a time limit on myself. for example, i felt pressured to 'rush' the previous blog post and i think that's just unnecessary stress. plus i felt i could of expanded what i said more with more time. so from now on, website updates will be a bit more infrequent, but i'm hoping you enjoy them when they do come around! i also hope in the future to maybe put more stuff on here other than just my blog, like some original projects hosted on the website, but we will just have to wait and see.

speaking of websites that are infrequently updated but were updated this month, if you are like me, you probably follow homestar runner or at least have heard about it. if you don't know about homestar or don't know much about it you should do yourself a favour and change that! but the important thing is that homestarrunner.com turned 25 this year and a new short named 'back to a website' was released to celebrate. so i guess it might be somewhat approiate that this update took awhile since the short talks about how the internet was better back when it was more creativity and people driven instead of revolving around only a handful of websites and corporations. and well, this site is inspired by those old web days of freedom and fun, so i can say that i'm going back to a website too! and you should as well!! and by that i mean have a try at making your own website! w3schools is a great resource for learning and neocities is a great independete hosting service (it's even being used to host this site right now as you are reading this!). so go out there and spread your creativity to the world wide web!

but before you do, i wanna say thank you to everyone for sticking with me for so long despite how long it takes me to finish stuff. you all are the best.

thanks for reading, stay silly, stay safe, stay strong. vvj out.
